Motor gone

Dropped off the motor and transmission at the local scrap yard (Friberg's Gone Green in Frederic, WI.) this last Friday June 23rd. Received $44.00 for the both and they weighed 880 lbs. Lots of weight to be taken out of the car.

I also spent time removing the sound deadening material and insulation from the interior of the vehicle. A lot more rust on the floor than I expected, but it's repairable and will be replaced.

Drivers Side

Passenger Side

I still need to remove the doors and the door panels along with the headliner.

I'm struggling with the decision to remove or not to remove the dash. I love the way it looks and the nostalgic feel of it, but with the updated motor and transmission I want to install I'm not sure if I can still use the original dashboard and may be forced to update the whole thing, which I do not want to do. (Mo money, mo money, mo money) sigh.......

Such a cool looking Dashboard

Such a cool looking dashboard!
